Join Bill Stoneman as he demonstrates some of the quickest, simplest, and most dependable methods to grow delicious greens on a kitchen windowsill year-round. Guests will leave with containers that only need water. Get your hands dirty as we sow pea shoot seeds, sunflower shoot seeds, and start a variety of sprouts!

Bill Stoneman's Bio

Bill Stoneman leads the Vegetable Project, a school gardening program that works in Albany schools. Bill started digging in the dirt with Albany kids in 2009 at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School, when his daughter was in eighth grade. He brought garden programming to Albany High in 2014 and has been president and chief weed puller of the Vegetable Project since its incorporation in 2015. A journalist for many years, Bill earned a master’s degree in teaching before deciding to shape his teaching in the garden around the needs of children who are not thriving in mainstream school programs
